THE SCREAM ZINE
Tour Guiding: We’re learning to host visiting cruise ships to Burnie Port and gaining nationally recognised qualifications, creating opportunities for casual employment in the tourism industry.
Jewellery: We’re learning to make jewellery, combining it with comments from SCREAM Zine and creating pieces that make a statement about our daily lives & presenting them to policy makers!
Sewing: We’re making funky clothes for our kids & ourselves. We’re learning about survival sewing, as well as stencilling and screen printing new clothes with images and text from the SCREAM.
This Is Living: The Lucky group will be interviewers and story collectors in the lead up to Big hARTs “This Is Living” performance production for 10 Days on the Island Festival 2009.
Early Learning: Our kids get to play freely at Lucky, focussing on self directed play and creative expression. We believe that “play is the work of childhood”
